English speaking program
The Studentradio has its own english speaking program – NoWay!
We encourage english speakers and foreign exchange students to apply for this program.
At the moment the program doesn’t have any members, so we are looking for a group who wants to make this program their own!
The program usually focus on being an exchange student in Norway, and funny stories from everyday life as an exchange student.
Do you want to work behind the scenes?
Technical Department
This group is responsible for the radio’s server systems, PCs, radio studios, and all equipment used to produce radio and video here. This is a perfect arena for you if you’re interested in IT, sound and music production, and multi-camera production, or have general interest in computers. You don’t necessarily need prior experience to join the technical group, but it’s an advantage if you have an above-average technical interest or an ear for good sound quality. You don’t need to be responsible for all of this at once! The group is divided into the Operations Group, the Development Group, and the Sound Engineering Group.
The Operations Group is responsible for all IT operations, the internal server infrastructure, network, file storage, and system administration. The Development Group is responsible for developing and maintaining the radio’s own digital services. This is a new group, so here you’ll have significant influence in shaping the group!

It’s recommended that you have prior experience with web development, e.g. with React, Django, FastAPI, Python, but it’s not a barrier to applying!
The Sound Technical Group is responsible for everything sound-technical. This involves troubleshooting and improving the studios, rigging for live broadcasts outside the studios, and potentially rigging for concert activities. We use DHD mixers within their ecosystem to transmit audio over ethernet. In addition, you’ll be responsible for the cameras used in the studio for social media content and video podcasts.

Marketing Group
This group is responsible for mapping out the market, developing the radio’s portfolio, reaching out to potential sponsors and clients, marketing, and brainstorming new ways to make the student radio more profitable. This is also a brand new group, so you’ll have significant influence in shaping the group as you see fit.

Festival Group
This is a completely new group with a very exciting purpose. This group will be restarting the Phono Festival! This is a music festival that first started in 2006, but was put on hold in 2016. Until now! At the moment we’ve filled the roles of leader and financial officer, but we’re looking for concert-passionate volunteers who want to help put their mark on the first of a long line of festivals where regionally local artists can bask in the spotlight.

Your very own program!
Are you dreaming about getting your own radio program broadcast on the air? Submit a pilot!
The limitations are few and the possibilities are many – the theme or genre is entirely up to you! All you have to do is to create a pilot and a program description and send it to us. The student radio sets you up with loans of the studio and guidance throughout the process.
Can I apply?
Good news everyone! You don’t have to be a student for you to submit a pilot to the Student Radio – anyone who wants to create a weekly program can apply. Experience with radio systems is not necessary, but it is an advantage.
What is a pilot?
A pilot is a trial brodcast that shows how the program you want to make sounds. It is this trial broadcast that forms the basis of the selection, and therefore it is very important that the trial broadcast is well done. We are mainly looking for programs that lasts for one hour.
Program description
We would like you to sumbit a written description of your program, which should contain the following items:
– What should the program be called?
– What is it about?
– Who is the target audience, and how are you going to reach them?
– How would a typical broadcast look like?
– Who are the members in the program, and what kind of experience do they have?
– Are you prepared to commit ten hours of your week to the program? The employee agreement that everyone in the Student Radio must sign, commits you to this.
Deadline
The sooner you submit the pilot and the program description, the better.
All contributions will be considered, but emphasis will be placed on creativity and whether the program stands out from the Student Radio’s other programs.
