Henning Severud is a Trondheim based artist making tropical disco. He has been teasing us with his tasteful edits and his own tracks for some years now. After a horrible hard disk crash in 06, the majority of his tracks went to computer heaven. He is originally from Bergen but left town to pursue his dream of being a professional ice-hockey player. That didn’t go so well, when he got a hockey puck in his face while not wearing his helmet. This left him stuck in a hospital for 6 months and almost rendered him blind on both eyes. But he recovered fully and made some great tunes while being hospitalized. Finally Henning’s track ‘DIG!’ hits vinyl. http://www.myspace.com/telephonesmusic

Touchable Terrence

Tarjei Nygård is the studio wizard and co-owner of Untz Untz Records. He started out producing electro, funk and hip hop many years ago. Tarjei has an unhealthy interest for Indian disco 12″ and dusty old soul 7″. Music production and extensive djing eventually led him into playing synths, turntables and producing for a mediocre pop band for a couple of years. They played some gigs in front of ten thousand of people. Untz Untz Records label manager Eirik F., forced him to quit this band and start focusing on Untz Untz music. Solli Diskoklubb

Mikkel Haraldstad is a young blonde boy from Oslo. Why he has chosen to name himself after a really posh nightlife area in Oslo, he won’t tell us. Surprisingly, Mikkel has just been making music for 2 years. This has led to a lot of delicious slowed down disco tracks. When we first heard ‘Fest I Bakgården’ we immediately sent him a message saying: ‘Don’t give this to anyone! We want it!’ Mikkel is also one half of the Oslo duo SommerStad which is scheduled to release a 12″ on Prins Thomas’s amazing Full Pupp label next year. Velferd

Geir Hermansen has become Bergen’s very own fjord-disco prince over the last year. With great reactions on his live-shows and party-starting dj-sets he just keeps getting better and better. This young talent (he is only 20 years old) constantly produces new tracks. Impressively each one of his last three live-shows just consisted of new material! When Geir is not locked up in his dungeon with all his synths making pumping disco tracks and remixes, he is touring the world with The New Wine (a great band from Bergen in which he plays synths). The track ‘Driveby’, which represents Geir on the record, is actually the first track he produced as Velferd. Geir is signed to Untz Untz Records and we will release his very own EP in March 2010. http://www.myspace.com/velferd”
