Major fuck up this week. The show, which I hosted alone as Maiken was working, didnt get recorded automatically as it was supposed to. Last time this happened, Maiken and me went back into the studio and did it all over again. This time I wasnt really motivated for that. Plus it feels geeky. from Spain with skapoppunk. From the album “Estupido Pero Feliz” from 2006 I believe.

7. BLOOD COMMAND – PARTY ALL THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL (Fysisk Format)
playing Stavanger Saturday. This is another track from the “Bransjevelter”-comp. New album in May

Hello hello hello

Apologies for the lateness of last weeks playlist. We recorded the show Tuesday morning and I went straight to the mountains for some ski-RnR with the family and when I came back I just had time for a quick shower before the Back to Beat Weekender-festival started on Thursday and then it was work work work and almost no sleep. In addition, we tried 2 times to put it online but with no luck. Untill today. So here it is. 1. KAFKA PROSESS – TRO, HÅP OG KJÆRLIGHET (self rel/Skuld)
the song-title from this classic Norwegian hardcoreband translates into “faith, hope and love” which is kinda what the easter is about, isnt it? Although we seriously doubt Kafka had the easter in mind when writing it, we used is an intro to our easter-show.

2. GERM BOMB – WASTED YEARS (demo)
Motörhead meets Discharge at Skitsystems rehearsalspace. Swedes with a demo and new album soon. Good shit.

3. FLOGGING MOLLY – REQUIEM FOR A DYING SONG (LIVE) (SideOneDummy/Tuba)

4. REFUSED – BULLET (Burning Heart/Tuba)
reforming this summer or not? No-one is sure but the news on the matter gave us an excuse to play this beautiful interpetation of the Misfist-classic

- Interview Thomas Ryjord, attendee at Cokie the Clown @ SxSW 2010
as reported last show, Fat Mike from NoFX gave a disturbing one-man performance at this years South by South-festival as Cokie the Clown. Thomas Ryjord from the Storås Booking Agency and ex-Desperado leadsinger was present at the event and told us in his own words how it was like. Supplied by audio-clips from the performance

5. KNUSTE RUTER – ATOMER (Fysisk Format)
main-feature in the Norwegian Punk Column, this song is featured on the “Bransjelvelter 3″ label sampler and is originally from their debut 7″ on Sjakk Matt Plater from 2009. New record out in the end of the month.

6. ABNORMAL – DONT PUT ME ON A DIET (Tiger)
this popular 90′s poppunk/hardcore-band from Kolbotn was the classic in the same column. Actually they were the first band I ever interviewed, although it never got published. They’re currently active again but have started playing metal. This is from their only album “Playing for Pussy” and it is also the title-track from their brilliant 7″

7. FORRÆDERI – STØPT I SAMFUNNETS FORM (download)
played Tönsberg this weekend with Eskatol andf Rhonin. Track lifted off the downloadable-only “Unity & Strength 2″-comp

Sultan played Bergen two weeks ago and in part 2, Maiken gets the lowdown on his other projects and his disappreciation on the hype around them

Bergens local footbal (or soccer if you will)-team won their first match last Monday and Maiken went to see the Spurs (Tottenham) last weekend so we marked the occasion with DkMs Boston Red Sox suppoerter-song

10. THE LEN PRICE 3 – NOTHING LIKE YOU (Wicked Cool)

Next week we’re warming up to a great concert-weekend in Bergen punkrock city; the brilliant Masshysteri from Umeå, Sweden & Longjohns @ Inside Friday, Social Suicide + 3 bands supporting Timo from Alerta Antifascista houseshow Saturday AND The Len Price 3 @ Inside later the same evening. Phew!
