Studentradioen i Bergen onsdag kl.13:00

AGGRESSO! #1 – 12.01.11
1. Haust – No Christmas (mp3/Tiger)
a free mp3 from their label Fysisk Formats recordstore’s newsletter in December. Highly entertaining.
2. Social Distortion – Machine Gun Blues (Epitaph/Tuba)
first single off their brand new “Hard Times & Nursery Times” scheduled for release next week.
3. Years of Decay – The Screams of Dying Cowboys (Crashlandingrecords/Kink/Contraszt/Halvfabrikat/I Feel Good/ubversive Ways/mergence/eviance/Blackout/Tankek)
from their split-12″ w/Sandcreek Massacra (Bel). One of the members of this French band was kind enough to help me out with a show on my tour this summer. Cheers!
4. Konfuz(z) – How to be Emo (demo)
Emo is NOT popular in Armenia – http://www.france24.com/en/20101226-armenian-police-target-teenage-rock-cult – and this south-Russian band was the closest thing we came to an Armenian punkband singing about emo. One of many punk-news from December.
-. intervju Bendik Næsje, UFFA-spokesperson
the 30 year old squat/cultur-house almost burned down to the ground this X-Mas so we talked to Bendik to hear what was up with UFFA right now.
5. Bitre Barn – Korrupt Verden (demo)
Bendiks band who in many ways are representing the future of UFFA and the Trondheim squat/punk-scene
6. Summon the Crows – Empires Rise – Empires Fall (Fysisk Format)
from their 2006 album-debut “Scavengers Feast” which was re-released in December.
7. Thee Rabbens – Second to No One (unrel)
playing live @ Mojo Workout at Garage Friday. We’re giving away tickets, competition runs untill Friday 4pm.
-. interview Bønny & Kjartan, Mojo Workout
about illegal drinks and übercool bands
8. Thee Gravemen – My Girlfriend is a Werewolf (Dirty Water)
from their “Haunted” EP. Expect an interview next time.
9. Jeroan Drive – Honour the Code (Loyal Blood)
the Bergens-based HC-quartets brand new single
10. Integrity – Learn to Love the Lie (Deathwish/Tuba)
from their newest efort “The Blackets Curse”. Playing Oslo this weekend, unconsciously very heavily underlined by Maiken and myself
11. Betty White – Flesh & Split (self rel)
from their EP “Nosebleed” which the trio were kind enough to send us all the way from the USofA.
Next week; possibly Kaspar will be with us, possibly I will have the first edition of my historical look-back on Aggresso!s history for you and very possibly we will have one or several tracks from/off these new bands/records: the “I Dont Wanna Be Part of Your So Called Punk”- and “Hey Punk! DIY Recs”-comps, Aristillus, Shotgun Whalers, Bitter End, Les Savy Fav and Found Dead in Trunk. Ok? See ya next week.
