Longjohns i studio + billettkonkurranse i Aggresso! onsdag
NORMA BATES (Sverige)
THE RABBLE (New Zeeland)
STORY OF THE YEAR (Epitaph)
SATAN TAKES A HOLIDAY (som covrer Link Wray på en veldig sær måte)
THE CLERKS (som covrer Kiss på en veldig spesiell måte)
og masse masse mer
STUDENTRADIOEN ONSDAG KL.1300.
Reprise fredag kl.22 eller på www.srib.no nårsomhelst, hvorsomhelst
Forrige ukes playliste så slik ut:
The airport was closed, the trains stopped and there was snow everywhere. Who else could you trust today but Aggresso! Punkrockradio? Atleast not M*space who blocked my uploading-rights again. And now it seems Im permanently blocked. Therefore; it seems highly unlikely that this weeks show will be available on that site. I’ll have to wait a week or two and see if Im granted permsission to upload again but I doubt it. Consequently, I most likely will launch a new M*space-site (again)in the near future.
Reruns can, as always, be streamed through the Studentradios website www.srib.no Click on SENDEPLAN, look up Aggresso! on the schedule and click LINK TIL REPRISE. Or try this direct-link: http//:radio.srib.no:8888/content/aggresso.mp3.m3u
Here’s this weeks playlist:
AGGRESSO! Playlist # 7 – 24.02.10
1. OUT OF LUCK – PSYCHO’S MIND (Wolverine)
Maikens token Saints & Sinners-compilation band of the week. Personally I was rooting for the ska-version of a Kiss-song but perhaps next week
2 . RISE AND FALL – ITS A LONG WAY DOWN (Deathwish Inc/Tuba)
from their new effort “Our Circle is Vicious”. Think Converge, only from Belgium. Ehr.
3. BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB – BEAT THE DEVIL’S TATTOO (Abstract Dragon/Tuba)
dont worry, we wont make a habit out of playing this band but the distributor sent us their new promosingle and the song was kinda catchy so we thought, what they hey? This is also the song that the Myspace-filter catched and barred me from uploading more. See? This is why we seldom play commercial/famous bands.
4. BEINKJØR – DYPE TANKER OM OL (LIVE) (self rel)
the songtitle translates into “Deep Thoughts About the Olympic Games” and so far there’s been 2 punkrock-related incidents at this years games. Check out punknews.org (Alexisonfire) and anarchistnews.org (team anarchy wins three games against team olympics). Hilarious!
5. HAYSEED DIXIE – EINE KLEINE TRINKMUSIK (Cooking Vinyl/Tuba)
pretty cool interpetation of the Mozart-classic. From their new effort “Killer Grass”
6. TOY DOLLS – EINE KLEINE NACHT MUZIC (Receiver/Tuba)
another pretty cool interpetation of the same classic. From their second-newest effort “Anniversary Anthems” from 2000.
7. BLISTERHEAD – SOCIAL MISFIT (Alleycat/Tuba)
playing Sarpsborg Friday and Halden Saturday with, amongst others, Böyen Beng and Pink Dirt
8. AQUILES CASTRO – ALPHA MALE (demo)
the main-feature in the Norwegian Punk-column. 4 lads based in Tröndelag playing metallic punk. Original stuff.
9. MORTE CEREBRALE – YA BASTA!
the classic in the same column. From the unreleased (?) “Revolusjonssymfonier”
10. TOXIC LAB RATS – STRUNG OUT (self rel)
not from Gothenburg as stated last time but Fallun
11. THE GOO MEN – BOOM BOOM HAMA LAMA BAMA LOU (No Fucking Hippies/Tuba)
the main-feature in the Surf’s Up-column this week. Maiken has the details on these Norwegians
12. THE DOLLY ROCKER MOVEMENT – MY HEAVENLY WAY (Bad Afro/VME)
also presented in that column, these garage-psychedelia Danes did not get Maikens stamp of approval. I’ll give them a try.
13. KOLLWITZ – GREEN LINE (Fysisk Format/Diger)
Back next week with a full warm-up to Thee Longjohns @ Garage. If that means them playing live in the radio-studio, us giving away tickets to the concert or both, you’ll just have to wait and see.
