Maiken was back this week (thank goodness), we gave away tickets to Haust & Blood Command @ Hulen and we talked so much we didnt get time to air my report on metal vs. punk. I attended The Big Heavymetal Fest Saturday and was amazed how dedicated and laidback metalfans were. Also, the fans spend more money on music/merch than idealistic punx and have a much broader appeal. I was considering converting. Untill I got hit on by a guy. Here’s this weeks playlist:

1. TROUBLEMAKERS – MIN EGEN REVOLUTION (Svindel)
Maiken had a pretty good excuse for not being in the studio last week. She was working on her own revolution.
2. ESKATOL – KNEBLET (Kjepp Kjappesens Raske Skiver/Diger)
their debut-CD “Blodørn” (Blood Eagle) has got some pretty questionable aspects to it but all in all Im pretty sure this Oslo-based political metalcore band arent secret rightwing-sympathizers. Comes complete with all the tracks from the 12″ split with Black Blood World.

5. BLOOD COMMAND – 5 INCHES OF A CAR ACCIDENT (Loyal Blood/Kontrabande/Black Soul Family)
Playing Hulen Friday night w/Haust. We gave away tickets to 2 lucky winners + one friend each. How cool are we?
6. SOUNDS LIKE VIOLENCE – GET OUT OF BED (Burning Heart/Tuba)
so Tuesday it was one year since I had a small breakdown and realized I was lightly depressed. Sounds like a peach right? Well it isnt. If you think that, you’ve never been depressed. People throw that word around like its a broken nail or something. When you cant get out of bed and you dont know why, thats when you know something is wrong. So this song was for myself.
7. SAIRAUS – BI-POLAR REACTION (demo)
the second (!) cassette we’ve received this year, this one all the way from Los Angeles, USA. Pretty darn cool hardcore. Too bad there’s only 2 tracks on “A Siege of Sickness”. Oh well.
8. GERMS – LEXICON DEVIL (Rhino/Warner Bros)
playing Garage, Oslo Sunday.
9. JOKKE & VALENTINERNE – HVIS JEG VAR DEG (LIVE) (Sonet)
the tributeband to Jokke, Valentourettes, are playing all over the place now before Xmas.
10. GRINGO BANDIDO & THE FAB FOUR – CARLOS COUNTRY CLUB (Borderline)
we didnt realize untill this week that they’re also called “& The Fab Four”. Still a fantastic CD tho.
11. THE ORIGINAL ROCKRIDGE BROTHERS – ROCKINGHAM CINDY (Red Rocking)
from the promo edt. of the 2008-release “Rockridge Hollerin’”. The Swedes sent us this disc hoping to be booked to next years Phonofestival. We’ll see, we’ll see. In the meantime, Maiken had them as the main-feature in the Surf’s Up-column.
12. TH’ LEGENDARY SHACK SHAKERS – BLOOD ON THE BLUEGRASS (Bloodshot)
This weeks token “classic” in the same column. From Cockadoodledon’t from 2003.
13. DVERGPORNOKLUBBEN – FAMILIEFEST (Svindel)
So next week is the last ordinary show for 2009. During then and mid-January we’ll air 3 “best of the rest of 2009″-shows (read: Aggresso!s X-mas specials) so stay tuned to see what records/shows and other shit was our favourites from the second part of two-o-nine.
